We are seeking a Business Development Manager with a passion for technology and a proven track record in sales, ideally within the SAAS industry or a related field. This individual will play a critical role in our company’s growth by driving SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) lead to client conversions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and increasing our
market presence.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the entire sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals, focusing specifically on SME clients within the retail technology sector.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, trends, and challenges within the retail technology industry.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and potential clients, understanding their needs and business objectives.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create and deploy targeted campaigns that generate leads and drive awareness.
• Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to the management team, providing insights into sales activities and market trends.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking events to promote our products and services.
• Work closely with the product development team to provide feedback from clients and market insights that can help shape future product offerings.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• With seven (7) years or above experience relevant to Business Development.
• At least one year of sales experience in the SAAS industry or a related field.
• Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close with a track record of achieving sales quotas.
• Clear and effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade various stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a knack for building rapport and establishing positive relationships with clients.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for identifying potential business opportunities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and changing environment.
